Yedda Morrison's reading or talk had a very good outcome, there was alot of people there and it was more organized than the last one. There was a nice little introduction and background about her and then she came on to stage. She definitely matched hew work, they way she put it in words and her style matched her work well. She has had alot of accomplishments and seems to be a pretty well known writer, also her new book called darkness is being published which will probally be popular in that style of writing.
There was a picture that was put up on the screen that was so pretty, i really liked it and it caught my attention right away, it was seneic and looked three dimensional. It was colorful but not loud, and it was natural but elegant at the same time. This picture was put up in a art musem in Canada, and its huge takes up a whole wall. The way she played with the picture and created something so pretty was credtable. Even her other visuals are amazing and pretty i liked her visuals alot.
She read a piece from Girl Scout Nations called Robin Hood, she read it well and had a certain tone throughout. Also she made different noises for the birds, trees etc and she did them exactly how they should sound. In the middle of her act she put a netted bag thing over her face, a part of her act which was sort of different but she looked confident in what she was doing. Theres some parts of her written i like but not much. One of her lines that she said just stuck out to me "An empire build on cabbage."
